1. What is The Little Lantern League?
The Little Lantern League is a faith-based storybook series for young Muslim children, created by Storybook Daddy. Each book follows a group of children on a “mission” to solve a real-life problem — and along the way they learn a lesson rooted in the Quran and Sunnah. It’s designed to give families a beautiful, values-first alternative to secular children’s media.
2. What ages is the series for?
The books are written and illustrated for children ages 2–8. The stories are simple enough for toddlers to follow along at read-aloud time, while the values and gentle problem-solving still resonate with early readers up to age eight.
3. How many books are in the series?
The first collection is a 10-book hardcover set. Each book is a self-contained, mission-based story teaching a specific set of values. A second batch of 10 books is planned to follow, expanding the collection into a full 20-book library.
4. Are the stories aligned with Islamic teachings?
Yes. Every story is guided by the Quran and Sunnah. Rather than teaching in a heavy or preachy way, each book weaves Islamic character and ethics — kindness, honesty, patience, courage, gratitude — into an adventure children genuinely enjoy, so the lessons feel natural and memorable.
5. Who are the characters children will meet?
The League is led by Ustadh Kareem, a warm and wise mentor, alongside a cast of five young heroes: Layla (the curious explorer), Ayaan (the thinking hero), Maryam (the calming heart), and Yusuf (the super builder). Each child brings a different strength to the team, showing kids that everyone has a role to play.
6. What values and lessons do the books cover?
Across the series, children learn teamwork, friendship, kindness, honesty, self-control, empathy, courage, forgiveness, cleanliness, responsibility, gratitude, and more. Every cover lists the specific values that story teaches, so parents and teachers can pick the lesson they want to focus on.
7. What’s included with the books?
The Little Lantern League is more than just books — each set includes access to a full digital learning ecosystem:
• 1 year of digital portal access
• Animated videos that bring the stories to life
• Islamic lesson songs children can sing along to
• Digital versions of the books for reading on the go
8. How long does the digital access last?
Your purchase includes one year of access to the digital portal, animated videos, songs, and digital books. This lets your child revisit their favorite stories and lessons across screens, in the car, or on trips throughout the year.
9. Do I need special devices or the internet to enjoy the books?
Not at all. The hardcover books are yours to read anytime, no screen required — perfect for bedtime and read-aloud moments. The digital portal, videos, and songs are simply an added bonus you can enjoy on any phone, tablet, or computer when it suits your family.
10. Are these books suitable for families who don’t speak Arabic?
Absolutely. The stories are written in clear, accessible English so any family can enjoy them, whether or not Arabic is spoken at home. The goal is to nurture Islamic identity and good character through storytelling that every child can follow.
11. What makes The Little Lantern League different from other children’s books?
Most children’s media is built around secular themes. The Little Lantern League is intentionally designed to strengthen a child’s Islamic identity and values while still being fun, colorful, and adventure-driven. It combines beautiful hardcover storytelling with animation, music, and interactive digital content — a complete experience built for Muslim families.
12. Can schools, mosques, and libraries purchase the series?
Yes. We offer a dedicated institutional program for Islamic schools, masjids, libraries, and learning platforms, with classroom licensing and tiered bundles that include books, animated videos, and original songs. If you represent an institution, reach out through our contact page and we’ll share the full program and pricing details.
13. Are the books available now?
The consumer launch of The Little Lantern League is scheduled for Summer 2026, with a second batch of 10 books following in December 2026. Add your email on our site to be notified the moment the collection goes live and to hear about early-bird offers.
14. Do you sell matching merchandise?
We do! Beyond the books, you’ll find character t-shirts (including group and solo designs for Layla, Ayaan, Maryam, and Yusuf), plus school bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, and stickers — so kids can carry their favorite heroes with them through the day.
15. What are your shipping and return policies?

If something isn’t right, you can return unused items within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.
