We are Muslim Parents raising two children in a world that constantly pulls at the edges of who they are.

Like so many families living in the West, we watched our children fall in love with superheroes. The costumes, the adventures, the wide-eyed belief that good always wins. It was beautiful — until we felt what was missing.

The heroes they adored didn't reflect them. They never began with Bismillah. They never turned to the Quran when afraid, lost, or unsure. And once you feel that absence as a parent, you can't unfeel it.

Raising Muslim children in this world carries a quiet, relentless responsibility — to help them stand tall in the culture around them without losing the faith within them. And too often, the tools to bridge that gap simply don't exist.

The Little Lantern League was born from that space — from our home, our prayers, and our refusal to accept that our children had to choose between belonging and belief.

Each story lives inside the world our kids actually navigate — friendships, school, emotions, mistakes — gently guided by the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ. Not in a way that overwhelms, but in a way a child's heart can hold.

It is the thing we searched for ourselves growing up and never found — heroes who look like our children, think like them, and carry the awareness of Allah in everything they do. Heroes who choose patience over anger, honesty over convenience, and faith over fear.
